Lil Maat is the out-pour of designer and life-style coach Akua Maat who developed the clothing line as a response to the over-whelming need to reinforce the mindset of creative utterance.  In short, the thoughts, words and expressions we leave and inundate our young children with will create a lasting impact on them and their lives. 

Lil Maat carries the message of our African ancestors, “As we think, we are.”  Its purpose is to shed positive light and love on the children we see.  Based on the Ancient African principle of Maat (Truth, justice, harmony, righteousness, propriety, order and balance), Lil Maat serves as a catalyst to tip the scales on how we perceive today’s children and recognize them for who they truly are ..children of God.- Divinity manifested to express divinity
